Health Care Compliance Certificate

Health care fraud costs Americans tens of billions of dollars each year. As the government continues to crack down on this type of crime, there’s a growing need for skilled compliance officers to join the fight in protecting both patients and providers.

Program Overview

Medical practices rely heavily on compliance professionals to ensure laws and guidelines aren’t being violated. Our Schools of Law and Business joined forces to craft this certificate program after recognizing the importance of this field, both for the proper functioning of the health care system and for the overall economy.

Our six-course program, certified by the Health Care Compliance Association, familiarizes you with a range of vulnerabilities and complexities within the health care system. You’ll examine financial management and auditing procedures and explore the legal aspects of compliance. The program comprises a blend of courses from both our law school and business school curriculums.

Once you complete the program, you’ll be eligible to take the Health Care Compliance Association’s national certification exam. Although the majority of students opt to enroll part time in the program, we also offer the flexibility to pursue it full time on campus or entirely online.
