International Purchasing Certificate

Companies in manufacturing, retail and other industries are increasingly reliant on sourcing their materials and services from around the world. We’ll prepare you to meet the growing demand for skilled global purchasing managers.

Program Overview

This five-course certificate program complements our international business major and explores a range of modern challenges organizations face today, including aspects of trade law, environmental regulations, finance and product safety issues that arise in the global supply chain.

The 15 credits can be counted toward our BS program in international business, and we offer the flexibility to substitute one of the classes for an internship specifically related to purchasing at firms such as Johnson & Johnson, Bayer AG and Global Environmental Technologies Inc. The courses examine a variety of topics including globalization, international finance and management of the global supply chain.
