Your Experience

Focus on essential areas of leadership
As an administrator, you’ll provide schools with instructional leadership, program vision and fiscal management. Our unique program prepares you for this multifaceted role by focusing each semester on one of three key themes:

  • leading and managing a school;

  • developing instructional programs; and

  • leading efforts for school improvement with a strong focus on culture and climate.

Courses are taught by professors with expertise in these themes.

Fully accredited
Our fully accredited program is nationally recognized by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council. Our program effectively prepares students to sit for the Connecticut Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor endorsement exam (CT #092). Reciprocity agreements may enable you to pursue an equivalent certification within your own state.

Designed to work for you
Most importantly, our program is designed to work around the demands of busy lives: all of your classes and internships are provided in an online, asynchronous format, designed to accommodate working professionals with family responsibilities and full agendas. Your administrative internship in educational leadership, coordinated with QU faculty and a mentor from your district, gives you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school setting.
