Five-Year MHS with Biomedical Sciences Concentration

The biomedical science industry is constantly innovating. From the latest breakthrough in cancer treatment to a retinal implant that allows blind people to regain some vision, scientists are constantly working to improve the human condition.

Program Overview

Whether you plan to work in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology, or wish to join the effort to combat genetic disorders with advanced gene therapy, this accelerated BS and MHS program will prepare you to embark on an exciting career in a growing and dynamic field. Because of the versatility of this program and the comprehensive foundation it builds in biology, chemistry and scientific research, you’ll also be well positioned to pursue further education in areas such as medicine, neurobiology or forensics. 

You’ll receive guidance and individualized attention at every step, and your academic adviser will work with you to customize your experience in a way that reflects your particular interests and career goals. You’ll gain hands-on experience in our highly sophisticated teaching and learning labs and by using state-of-the-art equipment that will familiarize you with the specialized skills necessary to excel in a professional setting. There are also chances to collaborate one-on-one with faculty members on research projects that relate to the specific field you plan to enter once you graduate.

Quinnipiac provides a multitude of career development services, with job fairs and alumni networking events that draw recruiters from prestigious firms within the biomedical industry including Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Covidien. We’ll also help arrange a variety of experiential learning opportunities at companies both in Connecticut and throughout the northeast.
