Central to this focus on educating the “whole lawyer” is our commitment to preparation, and a curriculum that seamlessly blends the theoretical and the practical. You’ll reinforce a strong academic foundation in law — research, writing, analysis and oratory — by participating in mock trials, in our 30 student-run organizations, and at national legal competitions. You’ll represent real clients in our pro-bono legal clinics and during externships at corporations, government, nonprofits and private practices in a range of legal areas.
Our scenic, interprofessional campus, situated in North Haven in the power corridor between New York City and Boston, places you in the middle of one of the highest concentrations of private law firms, corporate headquarters and financial institutions in the United States. Additionally, New Haven is an eclectic and progressive city and surrounding region where PhDs rub elbows with CFOs, creating more externship and networking opportunities. It is also one of southern New England’s liveliest centers for arts, dining, and entertainment.
There are so many program options and legal concentrations to explore. If you’re ready to represent clients, impact legislation, fight for those without a voice, help corporations succeed and communities flourish, your path starts here.
Our School of Law Center on our North Haven Campus was purposefully designed to prepare students for the law profession. Check out the School of Law for yourself in this episode of “This is Quinnipiac.”
