Day One Mentoring Questionnaire

At Quinnipiac, we take great pride in the strong sense of community that exists between our students and the faculty.  To make sure that you know our doors are always open to you, the faculty and Student Bar Association (SBA) have created the "Day One Mentoring" program. Through this program, from the day you commit to join our entering class, both the faculty and your fellow students commit to you--and promise to do all we can to help guide you from entry into law school to graduation and beyond.

Faculty Mentor:  If you choose to participate in this optional program, we will connect you with a member of our faculty who we believe could be a good fit for you--based on geography, expertise, or common interests.  Your faculty mentor will contact you to see if you have questions or concerns about law school, or if you'd just like a chance to chat with someone before you arrive.  As you progress through your studies at Quinnipiac, your faculty mentor will remain available to assist you on everything from course selection to career advice and to put you in contact with resources inside and outside Quinnipiac to help you achieve your goals.

Peer Mentor:  You will also be paired with a 2L, 3L or 4L who is there to support you throughout your first year.  Your peer mentor can answer questions about books, classes, student organizations, the local area and more.  Since you will be paired with your mentor before Orientation, you can ask questions and get to know your peers before you even begin classes.

Day One Mentoring is just one more way we follow through in our commitment to get to know you, to treat you as an individual, and to educate the whole lawyer.
