JD/MELP (Master of Environmental Law and Policy) Admissions

We make our admission process as straightforward and personalized as possible. If you have any questions or need guidance, our counselors and advisers in the School of Law are available to assist you at every stage of your application process.

Quinnipiac Law partners with Vermont Law School to offer students the opportunity to earn a dual-degree juris doctor/master of environmental law and policy (JD/MELP). Students in the program earn their law degree from Quinnipiac Law and their MELP from Vermont Law. The program can be completed in 3 academic years, the same amount of time typically needed to earn the JD degree alone.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the dual-degree program, students first must be admitted to Quinnipiac University School of Law.

Application Timeline

Once admitted to Quinnipiac, JD students interested in also enrolling in the MELP program then can apply to the Vermont Law MELP program during their first year of law school at Quinnipiac.

The MELP application deadline is March 1 of the law student’s first year.

Important note: Prior to starting the MELP application process, students should contact the associate dean for academic affairs at Quinnipiac School of Law. View the School of Law faculty and staff
