Hartford HealthCare is a community of caregivers committed to improving the health and healing of the people and communities it serves. It uses research and education to deliver coordinated, consistently high standards of care. It has a number of alliances with area hospitals and health care providers that improves the timeliness, effectiveness and accuracy of its services.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center joined Hartford HealthCare’s network of providers on Oct. 1, 2019. This change enhances its role as a lead clinical educational partner to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine. St. Vincent’s active medical staff of more than 700 physicians treat and offer compassionate care to a diverse patient population in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It represents more than 50 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties, including cardiology, surgery, cancer care, orthopedics, radiology, emergency medicine, women's health services, family services and behavioral health.
During rotations, students work around specialists performing advanced procedures while also helping to ensure that patients receive the individualized care they can only get in community-based settings.
