Keeping Our Campus Safe
We are fortunate to have one of the safest campus communities in the country. Continued vigilance on everyone's part - faculty, staff and students - is key to helping keep our campus as safe as possible.
Emergency Management Team
A University-wide, comprehensive team meets throughout the year to plan for emergencies, conduct tabletop exercises and continually review safety and security issues. View members of the Emergency Management Team.
Mental health issues
Dial 911 for On-Campus Emergencies
If you become aware of an emergency situation on campus, call 911.
Be prepared to provide the following information:
- Your name
- Nature of the incident
- Location of the incident
- Injuries, if any
- Phone number for a call back
In Case of Medical Emergency
If you witness a medical emergency, call 911. Security officers trained in CPR, AED and first aid will respond. The Hamden Fire/Rescue and AMR ambulance also will be dispatched.
