Residence Hall Council (RHC) is one of the largest student run organizations on campus. The group is dedicated to improving the residential experiences of all of our students by making the residence halls feel like home.

RHC is open to all residents and allows students to get involved, plan, and participate in residential and campus-wide events. Residence Hall Council is also the voice of students to the residential life staff and other University departments.

Residence Hall Council consists of general board members and executive board members. E-board members include:

President -- oversees all Residence Hall Council activities, runs meeting, non-voting member of E-board, liaison to an area council.

Vice President -- organizes the finances, works to support area council and other E-board members with a budget to help plan their events and assists the president.

National Communications Chair -- leads our delegation to conference, stays connected with other NCCs from other Residence Hall Councils, votes on conference dockets, trains the NCC-IT.

National Communications Chair In-Training -- follows the NCC to conferences while learning the ropes of the NCC position, assumes the NCC position the following year.

Public Relations --  creates advertisement for upcoming events, updates the Facebook and Twitter pages.

Secretary -- takes the minutes at all meetings, sends e-mails to members, maintains the calendar of all events, and organizes community service efforts.

Treasurer -- organizes the finances of the organization, works to support area councils and E-board members with a budget to help plan their events.

Event Planners -- works with sponsors to plan big and small events on campus.

Anyone in RHC can run for these positions and elections are held each spring. These E-board members also oversee area councils and help them budget and plan events in their residence halls throughout the year.

Residence Hall Council is one of the only student organizations that allows freshman to hold office. Each residence hall has an area council. Members of area council, including the president, vice president, secretary, and representatives, plan events for their peers in their residence halls. In the past, students have planned events like football and wings, tie dye, midnight breakfast and other community-building events. Area councils each have a liaison from the executive board to help them budget and plan fun and exciting events for their residents.

Residence Hall Council is always looking to expand its membership and get more students involved and excited about their residential life at Quinnipiac. Meetings are held every other Tuesday night at 9:15 p.m. in Buckman 129.
