(2 cr.) This course surveys the expanding field of arbitration, which is now a primary institution in American and international commerce for resolution of civil disputes. Students review laws and concepts central to arbitration, formation and enforcement of arbitration agreements, the process itself, and judicial enforcement of awards. They also survey the uses of arbitration in a variety of fields such as employment, commercial, labor, and health care law.
