Community and Public Health Nursing

(3 cr.) This course focuses on concepts of community and public health nursing. Emphasis is on primary, secondary and tertiary prevention and nursing management for individuals, groups and populations with health problems in community settings. The delivery of safe, evidence-based, holistic, patient-centered care is emphasized. Knowledge, attitude and skill acquisition opportunities are provided in campus lab and applied in clinical practicum.
