Seminar in Health Care Disparities

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines health disparities as differences in health outcomes between various segments of the population, which are mostly associated with socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity and level of education. This course investigates the cause and effect of health care disparities using an interdisciplinary approach. Students become familiar with the research literature on the topic from different points of view by being part of a literature review/journal club. As Needed
