I am a Full Professor in the Psychology Department at Quinnipiac University. I joined the faculty of Quinnipiac in 2001. Since coming here I have taught a variety of courses on child development, as well as some of our department's core courses (e.g., Statistics). In addition to teaching, I also conduct research on children's cognitive development. More specifically, I am interested in finding out what children know about thinking and other mental processes. In my most recent research, I am exploring children's understanding of distraction and the strategies that can be used to prevent or remedy it.
