Margarita D�az is an associate professor of Journalism. She was one of the founding editors of El Daily News, the first fully bilingual English-Spanish daily newspaper in the United States. In the 1990's she was an entertainment editor and writer at the New York Daily News, where she focused on coverage of film, television and popular music. As a Quinnipiac professor since 2003, D�az has taught courses on writing, editing, and covering the arts. She is also interested in international journalism: Her Telling Global Stories course includes travel to Nicaragua, and her senior seminar looks at how the U.S. media cover the rest of the world.

Educational Background

Diaz has a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, an M.A. in Media Studies from The New School for Social Research, and an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University.
