About


Professor Gedge has been teaching business law full-time at Quinnipiac University School of Business since 2006. Professor Gedge earned a law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and an undergraduate degree from Emory University and, prior to teaching, she practiced law for over twenty five years. Professor Gedge is known for her ability to make the law understandable to non-lawyers. Her articles with legal tips for small businesses have been published in many trade journals including the Hartford Business Journal, Business New Haven, CT CPA Magazine, Dynamic Business and Contract Professional. She is a contributing author to Starting a Small Business in Connecticut, Simple Steps to a Successful Business (2009). Professor Gedge has been actively involved in promoting women in business and received the Women’s Business Excellence Award in 2010 from the School of Business, Central Connecticut State University. In addition, she is on the organizing committee of the annual Quinnipiac University School of Business Connecting Women’s Breakfast Forum and has had the pleasure of serving as moderator of this Forum.

Work Experience


Professor Gedge has over 25 years of experience as a practicing business attorney. During her years in private practice, she represented business owners throughout the State of Connecticut in transactions such as starting businesses, buying and selling businesses, leasing premises, creating business entities, entering into business arrangements and more.
