I obtained a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing and a Master of Arts from Teachers College of Columbia University. My Masters Degree is specific to Nursing Education, the professorial role being the focus. My area of specialty in nursing is critical care. I am certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses as a Critical Care Registered Nurse.
My present role at Quinnipiac University is a joint partnership with Charlotte Hungerford Hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut. My job title is Nursing Education Specialist, functioning as a member of The Center for Professional Development & Education team at Charlotte Hungerford. The focus of my part time faculty role at Quinnipiac University is lab and clinical teaching in the undergraduate program.
I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and am presently on the Region 15 Educational Planning Committee. I am also a member of the National Association of Critical Care Nurses and the National Nursing Staff Development Organization.
