Dr. Foery is a founding faculty member of the Communication programs at Quinnipiac. His specializations are film history and film aesthetics, and his recent senior seminars have been on the work of Alfred Hitchcock and of Francis Ford Coppola. He is also interested in European cinema, especially that of the French. In addition, he has edited an arts journal ("The Downtown Review") devoted to independent cinema and related art forms. He is an Associate Fellow of Trumbull College at Yale, and a panel chair at the annual meetings of the Popular Culture Association. He is currently developing a scholarly study of the work of Spike Lee.
