Frederick Staudmyer is an Assistant Professor of Communications at Quinnipiac University. He received his BA from New York University and his MFA from Columbia University in film with a concentration in screenwriting. He went on to work as a story analyst for Walt Disney Studios in Los Angeles, where he analyzed screenplays, evaluated material, and gave development notes on projects going into production. He has also worked on two Nickelodeon shows and written pilots for Hollywood production companies. His short films have screened and won awards at numerous festivals around the globe including: The Friars Club Comedy Film Festival, LA Comedy Shorts, New Orleans Film Festival, Madrid International Film Festival, Sitges, and The Cannes International Film Festival. Currently, he is writing a biopic about the maverick filmmaker, Orson Welles, and conducting research for a future screenplay about the Nobel Prize winning author, Ernest Hemingway.
