University recognized as leader in workplace wellness

uinnipiac was recently named a leader in workplace wellness by The Business Council of Fairfield County for promoting healthy behavior and recognizing the wellness needs of its employees.

The university was recognized in the platinum category for its wellness achievements as well as its creativity and success in implementing health initiatives. 

The Healthy Workplace Employer Recognition Program highlights the efforts of employers who understand the competitive advantage of a healthy workforce. The recognition program is presented by The Business Council’s Health, Wellbeing and Safety Roundtable, with the leadership support of Aircastle Advisor LLC, UnitedHealthcare of CT, Inc., and USI Insurance Services with Aon.

Quinnipiac was lauded for making great strides in implementing a diverse range of wellness programs, from encouraging physical activity and healthy behavior to managing chronic illness.
