Teachers with initial certification in special education may also pursue an additional cross-endorsement opportunity.

  • A 36-credit cross-endorsement opportunity (CT #165) for students holding their initial teaching certification. Teachers from other states may be eligible to pursue a similar credential via reciprocity agreements.
  • A standalone 30-credit master's degree for individuals in any field to build in-demand skills in special education.
  • For teachers seeking an initial certification in special education, Quinnipiac offers an on-campus Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education.
  • An exploration of the exceptional child and specific learning disabilities (LD) including autism spectrum disorders, reading and math disorders and more.
  • An in-depth understanding of the IDEA and the laws that protect students with learning disabilities
  • A dedicated program adviser who will work closely with you in developing a practicum or research project that aligns your learning outcomes with your career goals.
