“I decided to stay in Quinnipiac dorms because I had an internship in the area, and it was a convenient and reliable housing option close to where I needed to be," he said.
What started as a practical decision quickly turned into something more meaningful.
“I had a really positive experience last summer, so when I secured another internship near Wallingford, Connecticut, coming back to Quinnipiac housing felt like an easy decision," Bourke.
The residence halls-lifestyle offered a balance of comfort and independence that made his routine feel seamless and more enjoyable.
“Day-to-day life was very comfortable," he said. "The dorms had all the amenities I needed, and being close to Hamden made it easy to get out, grab food, and enjoy the area after work.”
Beyond convenience, it was the overall environment that stood out the most.
“One thing that stood out was how clean and well-maintained everything was," Bourke said. "The environment felt organized, and the people living there were respectful, which made it a great place to stay.”
His Quinnipiac experience brought its own advantages.
"I really enjoyed being on Quinnipiac’s campus as it offered great study spaces and a really nice outdoor setting that made it easy to relax or stay productive," he said.
Living on the York Hill Campus didn’t just impact where he stayed, it shaped how he experienced his entire summer.
“The location made a big difference because I was close to major cities, which made it easy to explore on weekends," Bourke said. "Living in a dorm setting also made it easier to meet new people and build a social circle during the summer.”
