Quinnipiac is accepting applications for new club sport teams.

Students who are interested in starting a new Quinnipiac Club Sport are encouraged to complete an application by Monday, April 26 at noon for consideration.

Quinnipiac currently offers 12 competitive club sports teams, which compete against other teams from colleges and universities throughout the region.

Although introduced to the university in the 2019-20 academic year, Quinnipiac Club Sports have already established a record of success — with esports earning the MAAC regular season championship, and one of its athletes earning the league's MVP.

Club sports offer eligible, full-time students an opportunity for athletic competition with other colleges and universities at a less demanding level than Division I athletics. Most seasons are approximately 2 months long, with national tournaments at the end of the regular/conference tournament season.

In addition, club sports offer students leadership opportunities. Students are elected into the positions and oversee many aspects of their team, including budgeting and scheduling.

The current teams include:

  • Dance
  • Coed esports
  • Coed Figure Skating
  • Men's Ice Hockey
  • Men's Lacrosse
  • Women's Lacrosse
  • Men's Rugby
  • Women's Running
  • Women's Soccer
  • Softball
  • Coed Tennis
  • Women's Volleyball
