Making the transition from classroom to career can be a confusing and stressful process, but helping students achieve success is a key part of a Quinnipiac education.

To help undergraduate and graduate students on the road to success, the university’s career development leaders will host more than 140 employers at a university-wide career fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, October 15 in the Athletic and Recreation Center on the Mount Carmel Campus.

“This career fair provides the opportunity to learn about internships, part-time, summer, and entry-level positions,” said Jill Koehler, associate dean for career development in the School of Business.

Rebecca Nguyen ‘17, MBA ’18, is enjoying the benefits of the career fair

At last year’s fair, she met a recruiter from COCC, a financial services technology firm and one of the fastest growing companies in the United States. Because of that relationship, she secured an interview and a staff auditor position.

“With the high volume of applications that recruiters receive, it is easy to get lost in the mix,” Nguyen explained. “At the career fair, students are able to build connections with recruiters.”

She will return to the career fair this fall to represent COCC and help current Bobcats find future career possibilities.

“It will be interesting to be on the other side of the table,” she said. “I am excited to speak to students about my amazing company.”
