Nick Ennis JD ’19 spent the summer building a strong foundation for his future legal career.

Ennis, a student in the School of Law, spent the summer writing opinions for cases on appeal at the Massachusetts Court of Appeals.

“It has allowed me to put what I have learned into practice with real-world cases,” he said.

He attributes the work he has done in class to the success he saw working with Justice Sydney Hanlon in Boston.

“My legal writing class and civil procedure class have been invaluable,” Ennis said. “Professor Saxton has been a wonderful mentor to me. He worked in the field that I hope to work in and has given me great advice throughout my first year.”

After graduating, he hopes to clerk for a year at either the state appellate or federal district court.
