Thirteen Quinnipiac University physical therapy students were recently recognized as members of the Physical Therapy Pro Bono National Honor Society during a clinic-wide volunteer recognition program at Quinnipiac’s North Haven Campus.

The members who were recognized are: Daniel DePaolo, Trevor Ensign, Nicole Frey, Kristianna Giannico, Sarah Goldstein, Marissa Harper, Katelyn Hochadel, Lauren Kline, Jessica Panzarino, Anthony Poli, Samantha Raba, Julie Roosma and Stephanie Weady.

Founded in 2014, the Physical Therapy Pro Bono Honor Society recognizes outstanding physical therapy students who provide pro bono service as a part of their education. Quinnipiac is one of 16 schools that adds members on a regular basis.

Students recognized by the society must exhibit exemplary service and volunteer at least 30 hours to the Volunteers In Service Impacting Our Neighborhood (VISION) Physical Therapy Clinic, a student-run inter-professional pro bono clinic that provides rehabilitation to uninsured residents in the Greater New Haven area.

Meredith Gaucher, an adjunct faculty member, is the clinic’s faculty adviser.
