Review and submit your offer letter

Once your FAFSA results are processed by the financial aid office, you will receive an email indicating that your offer letter is ready. The electronic offer letter specifies the types of financial aid and amounts for which you are eligible. You will be prompted to log into the self-service site to accept your offer. Once logged in, you need to accept or decline each individual fund when prompted and electronically sign your offer letter. By submitting your electronic offer letter, you are acknowledging your financial aid offer and agreeing to abide by all of the terms and conditions set forth.

Complete entrance counseling and the MPN

Before any federal direct unsubsidized loan can be disbursed, students need to:

  1. Electronically accept the federal direct unsubsidized loan offer (see step 3 above)
  2. Complete online entrance counseling
  3. Complete the Federal Master Promissory Note

Once we have received the four completed requirements, your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan will be pre-credited to your billing account. As long as your financial aid file is complete, your Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan will then be disbursed at the beginning of the fall and spring terms.
