Factors We Consider

Successful lawyers must display a range of skills and talents. That's why we take a holistic approach in our selection process.

In order to apply, you must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
There is no ideal major or required major for law school. Today, law students are graduates from all fields of study, including business, education, engineering, humanities, natural sciences, nursing and social sciences. More important is pursuing a program that teaches one to think logically, read carefully and write well.
  • Take the LSAT.
The LSAT is a demanding standardized test and we recommend that you prepare for it seriously and carefully. The LSAT is usually offered multiple times a year, please check the schedule directly with LSAT (link below). We accept LSAT scores earned within five years previous to the application date. Please note that if you take the test more than once, we use your higher LSAT score. Learn more about the LSAT

When we consider your application, we weigh the following:

  • your undergraduate scholastic record*
  • Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) score(s)*
  • LSAT writing sample
  • any advanced degrees you may have earned

To get a complete picture, we also require that you submit the following for consideration:

  • a copy of your resume
  • at least two letters of recommendation
  • a personal statement

Other factors we consider:

  • Life and work experience
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Applicant’s ability to enhance the diversity of perspectives represented in our student body

*These are the most important factors we consider in the application process.
