Law and Public Policy

Whether you want to become a lawyer or work in one of many fields where an understanding of our legal system is a distinct benefit, our law and public policy undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students to take on careers that can impact the world in different ways. Our students are taught by an outstanding faculty of scholars and experts, many with experience as practicing lawyers and judges, who will teach them how to advocate for their clients, argue effectively, interpret laws and understand legal issues. You can apply the knowledge you learn in the classroom as an intern in private law firms, courthouses, nonprofit organizations, lobbying firms and in government settings like the office of the State’s Attorney. Through our programs, you will be prepared to take on a variety of careers and join the next generation of successful lawyers, social workers, paralegals and more.
