School of Law Transfer Applicants

Transfer applications are considered from students who possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and who are in good standing in a JD program at an ABA-accredited law school after one full year of study. Admissions representatives will do all they can to make the process as straightforward as possible.
Credit Transfer Policy
  • The maximum number of credits a student can transfer from another law school is 30 credits.
  • Credits accepted from other law schools are transferred with the grade of "Pass."
  • No credits are transferred for grades below C (2.0).

Application Materials

Applications are accepted through the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) website.

  • A complete application, indicating you are applying for transfer admission
  • A letter of good academic standing from your law school including class rank
  • An official law school transcript recording all course work attempted
  • A current CAS report (through LSAC)
  • An application following the first-year process (through LSAC)

Students who are admitted to Quinnipiac are automatically considered for entry into the accelerated dual-degree program, and those who meet the qualifications will be invited into the program. The Health Care Compliance Certificate program prepares you to effectively manage your organization’s compliance at both the state and federal level, mitigating cases of health care fraud and data theft.
