School of Law alumnus named Connecticut’s chief state’s attorney

Richard Colangelo Jr., JD '92, has been named Connecticut’s chief state’s attorney.

The Quinnipiac Law alumnus was previously the state's attorney for the Judicial District of Stamford/Norwalk since 2015. He has been involved in criminal investigations and criminal justice education. He also formed the Technical Investigations Unit of Southwest Connecticut, a regional task force of nine police departments that pool resources to examine computers and mobile devices in the course of criminal investigations.
