“Bobcats Unite has become one of Quinnipiac’s most important annual traditions because it brings the entire community of students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends together around a shared purpose: Strengthening the student experience,” said Nick Wormley, vice president of development and alumni affairs. “It’s not just a fundraising campaign; it’s a moment of collective pride. When Bobcats rally behind the university, it reinforces the idea that every gift, no matter the size, helps shape the future of Quinnipiac.”

The money raised through Bobcats Unite have a direct and lasting impact on students, supporting both broad institutional priorities and deeply personal needs, he added.

“A significant portion strengthens scholarships and financial aid, helping students access and continue their education with less financial burden. Support for the Quinnipiac Fund ensures that academic programs remain innovative and responsive, enabling investments in technology, research opportunities, athletics and enhanced classroom resources. Philanthropy also enriches student life by bolstering student organizations, leadership programs, wellness initiatives and cultural events that create a vibrant campus environment. Additionally, these funds help expand career development opportunities, such as internships, networking events and professional preparation, while also supporting community partnerships that allow students to make a meaningful impact in Hamden, North Haven and the surrounding region. Together, these investments elevate every aspect of learning, living, and growing at Quinnipiac.”

Nicole Caputo, director of annual giving, said the campaign brings together the many departments that make up Quinnipiac to collectively support its students and faculty.

“Our university is known for its strong sense of community — both on campus and beyond — and this day showcases that spirit at its best,” she said. “It’s inspiring to see so many people who care deeply about Quinnipiac come together to demonstrate their pride in the university and their belief that expanding access to the Quinnipiac experience truly matters.”

The increased participation and enthusiasm surrounding this year’s campaign can be attributed to a combination of stronger storytelling, more visible impact, and a growing culture of philanthropy on campus, Wormley added.

“Students, alumni and faculty were able to see more clearly how philanthropy directly benefits scholarships, academic programs and the Quinnipiac Fund, which made the campaign feel more personal and relevant. Peer‑to‑peer engagement also played a major role, with student ambassadors, alumni volunteers and campus partners helping to spread the message and energize their networks. Creative challenges, matching gifts and social media engagement added a sense of fun and momentum, encouraging people to join in. Perhaps most importantly, the Quinnipiac community is increasingly embracing philanthropy as a shared value, and that collective pride made participation feel both meaningful and contagious,” Wormley said.

Funds raised during Bobcats Unite support a wide range of priorities, including the creation of new unrestricted scholarships and financial aid opportunities, the expansion of experiential learning across our college and schools, professional development and upskilling for faculty and many other initiatives that strengthen the Quinnipiac experience, she said.

“I am incredibly proud of the work we are doing in Development and Alumni Affairs,” Caputo said. “My team and I are spending significant time engaging in meaningful conversations with faculty, staff and students, and helping our community understand why supporting the Quinnipiac Fund and the university writ large is so important. We’re energized every day by the enthusiasm we see from faculty, staff, and students who join us in this effort.”
