The university is marking National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, February 8, in a day-long celebration of competitive athletics and hands-on learning activities.

Thirty minutes prior to the 3 p.m. start of the women’s ice hockey game against ECAC rival RPI, several hands-on stations will be managed by several of our women’s athletics teams on the hockey concourse to demonstrate each respective sport.

Attendees will be able to enjoy time with and have the opportunity to learn from our student-athletes as they lead the girls through athletic drills and team building exercises. Anyone wishing to participate must buy a ticket — and register using the link below.

Fifteen minutes before the start of the 4 p.m. tip-off of the women’s basketball game against MAAC rival Siena, Quinnipiac’s student athletes and the participants in attendance who have registered using the link below will be invited to process from the hockey arena to the basketball court for the National Anthem.

Sideline Cheer, Club Dance, Kickline, Dance Fusion and the Ice Cats will showcase their talents during the basketball game. A limited number of Quinnipiac Bobcat scrunchies will be distributed at each game.
