YAWP! Series writers and event dates announced for Spring 2020

The university’s annual YAWP! series on nurturing open dialogue on creativity and the arts is back for another season.

This year’s series will feature distinguished writer, Diannely Antigua, a Dominican-American poet and educator whose debut poem collection, “Ugly Music,” was the winner of the Pamet River Prize. Antigua will be visiting on March 18, at 6:30 p.m. in SC-120 on the Mount Carmel Campus.

YAWP!’s second featured artist is Ann Heppermann, a Peadbody Award-winning radio documentary producer whose work has garnered awards from the Associated Press, Edward R. Murrow and Third Coast International Audio Festival. Heppermann will be visiting on March 19, at 12:30 p.m. in SC-120.

The third and final featured artist is Christina Kallery, a poet and author of the chapbook poetry book, “Adult Night at Skate World.” Kallery will visit on April 8 at 8 p.m. in SC-120.

The spring 2020 YAWP! Series is free and open to the public.
