University celebrates employees’ dedication, years of service

"We did not want this academic year to come to a close without recognizing our retirees and employees celebrating milestone years,” said Elicia Spearman, general counsel and vice president for human resources. "Now, more than ever, Quinnipiac appreciates all our faculty and staff give to our students and our community."
Quinnipiac celebrated the 591 combined years of service among its 22 retirees, and more than 3,600 combined years of service among its 183 employees celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55 years of service, respectively.
"Today's event is a celebration of people who have been especially important to life at Quinnipiac – people who make up the fabric of the institution," President Judy D. Olian told the several hundred attendees at the virtual employee recognition event. "One of the most notable testaments to the enduring and caring culture we have at Quinnipiac is that I hear people who have been here just a couple months or years use the same words to describe QU as those who have been here 20 or 30 years. Words like: family, kindness, warmth, caring and pride.”
