Helping to fight diaper need in Connecticut

The Quinnipiac Honors Program, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, will be hosting a virtual diaper drive throughout July to benefit The Diaper Bank of Connecticut. Their goal is to raise $5,000, which would provide 200 babies with a one-month emergency supply of diapers.

Each dollar raised will help bring the bank closer to achieving its goal of eliminating diaper need in Connecticut. Currently, 1 in 3 children face diaper need. Last fall, members of the Quinnipiac community donated $2,040 and more than 1,200 diapers to families in the Greater New Haven area to help fight this issue.

The pandemic has disrupted all communities – and The Diaper Bank of Connecticut has been combating the need for diapers by providing 750,000 diapers to families affected by COVID-19.
