April 27, 2017

Ron Burgess, a '15 alum and game designer at SphereGen in New Haven, shows Brian Young, a 3D modeler from Bristol, a virtual reality tool during the Global Game Jam, an annual event where game developers around the world collaborate and build games within a 48-hour time period, Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 in Quinnipiac's Game Design and Development Lab on the Mount Carmel Campus.

The Princeton Review has recognized the work and achievements of our students, alumni, faculty and staff of our game design and development program by naming it among the best in the United States, Canada and abroad.

The undergraduate program, which earned the No. 28 spot internationally and the highest in Connecticut, was selected among institutions around the world. Everything from academic offerings and lab facilities to graduates’ starting salaries and career achievements were assessed.

“Game design is an exciting field and programs are springing up in colleges all over the world,” said Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s Editor in Chief. “We want to help students find the best program for their needs and interests. The top schools on our lists have outstanding faculties and great facilities which will give students the skills and experience they need to pursue a career in this dynamic and burgeoning field.”

We are proud to have a nearly 95 percent employment or graduate school acceptance rate among graduates of all programs six months of graduation.
