During the dinner, law students learned a wide range of dining etiquette skills, including the proper placement of place settings, how to properly consume soup and make a toast. They also received tips on how to dress appropriately, wear a nametag correctly, how to present a business card, and confidently shake someone’s hand. The goal of this dinner was to prepare students to make a good first impression with potential employers.
“The etiquette dinner is a great opportunity to learn how to behave professionally before, during and after formal business meals,” said Rachel Morro, a Quinnipiac law student. “Employers and clients pay attention to how you handle yourself at the dinner table. Making a good first impression is important.”
