Karla Natale, who is certified in etiquette and protocol training by the Protocol School of Washington, led an etiquette dinner for 20 members of the Quinnipiac University School of Law community on Oct. 30.

During the dinner, law students learned a wide range of dining etiquette skills, including the proper placement of place settings, how to properly consume soup and make a toast. They also received tips on how to dress appropriately, wear a nametag correctly, how to present a business card, and confidently shake someone’s hand. The goal of this dinner was to prepare students to make a good first impression with potential employers.

“The etiquette dinner is a great opportunity to learn how to behave professionally before, during and after formal business meals,” said Rachel Morro, a Quinnipiac law student. “Employers and clients pay attention to how you handle yourself at the dinner table. Making a good first impression is important.”
