The Quinnipiac chapter for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) competed against chapters across the United States in the Rowan PRSSA Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Campaign Competition.

Quinnipiac’s chapter implemented an awareness campaign last semester to educate the Hamden and Quinnipiac communities about cystic fibrosis. Their campaign concluded with a “Chuck-A-Puck” fundraising event at a Quinnipiac ice hockey game to benefit the Colette W. Bleistine Paying It Forward Foundation.

The PRSSA chapter will travel to the Public Relations Society of America Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas this November to be formally recognized and accept a cash prize.

With a tough start to the semester in recruiting members, the chapter is excited to be gaining recognition.

“Our chapter had a lot of fun putting this campaign together and enjoyed doing it for such a great cause," said Quinnipiac's PRSSA Chapter President Kelly Lyon. "We are proud of this accomplishment and excited to be recognized for our work."
