Students get trained by Hamden Community Emergency Response Team

Students recently took part in a training class run by Hamden Community Emergency Response Team for proper fire extinguishing in the Harwood Lot on the Mount Carmel Campus.

The training is a direct result of a $4,000 university grant to establish an on-campus chapter of the Community Emergency Response Team. CERT is a federal program coordinated through FEMA. The university's on-campus chapter works in conjunction with Quinnipiac Public Safety, Hamden CERT and the Connecticut State Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
