Join author Petra Kolber for discussions and activities to learn how to tone down your inner perfectionist. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for self-growth.

A free book will be provided for the first 30 to sign up. The program will feature Facebook discussions and a Zoom Q&A each week.

“This will be facilitated by the author of the book. Follow along with the weekly assigned chapters which have little activities to complete. On Wednesday’s there will be a discussion and Q&A about what came up along the way. There will also be a Facebook group to join so you can engage with the author during the week if you have questions and/or with each other,” said Tami Reilly, director of fitness and well being at Quinnipiac.

The group will meet weekly for four weeks for a discussion which will last for an hour.

“I have read the book, I think it is so valuable for many of us to find a way to go a little easier on ourselves. The advice and activities are very manageable in our busy life and really help put things in perspective. And an opportunity to work with the author herself is just icing on the cake! Petra Kolber has been a mentor to me for many years in the fitness world and her energy and personality are something I want to share with our Quinnipiac community,” said Reilly.

Reilly said that understanding that perfection shouldn’t be the ultimate goal for everything we do is a very valuable skill. She advocates for working hard, but not putting so much pressure on yourself to the point where it is unrealistic.

To sign up for this opportunity, email Reilly at tami.reilly@qu.edu. The group will meet October 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 7 to 8 p.m.
