Military Friendly, a non-profit that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community, has named Quinnipiac as the No. 1 most military friendly four-year university in the United States that offers doctoral degrees.

“Today we celebrate the efforts of Quinnipiac University, for not only being awarded the Military Friendly designation, but for setting a new standard by being named the No. 1 university in their category,” said Brian Hucik, national program director of Military Friendly.

Each year, it becomes more challenging to earn the award as universities are constantly improving, said Hucik.

“Having Brian from Military Friendly take the time to present their top award to Quinnipiac in recognition of our student veterans, faculty, staff and leadership is very telling of the quality of the people that surround this endeavor," said Jason Burke, director of veteran and military affairs at Quinnipiac. "Our student veterans put in the time, focus and determination to be successful, and it’s wonderful to see them recognized along with the supporting entities that enable our students to concentrate on their studies and help balance their life.”
