As We Emerge: Monologues of the Formerly Incarcerated -- A Viewing & Talkback Event

Quinnipiac once again welcomes EMERGE CT for two screenings of their collaborative project As We Emerge: Monologues of the Formerly Incarcerated, a full-length documentary about the experiences of formerly incarcerated people. The film provides the stories of the formerly incarcerated through the words of the formerly incarcerated with the goal of challenging preconceptions and stereotypes around the people and families caught in the crosshairs of the carceral system. After viewing the hour-long film, As We Emerge participants and Director Travis Carbonella will engage in a dialogue about the film, the lives behind it, and the society that is home to it all. The film & talkback will be hosted twice on the same day - at 1:00 p.m. on the North Haven campus and at 6:00 p.m. on the Mt. Carmel campus.
