Quinnipiac University was born as The Connecticut College of Commerce, founded – and financed – by eleven determined business students who believed in the transformative value of college education. Nearly a century later, their ambition, determination and enterprising spirit live on in our AACSB-accredited Business School and AACSB accredited accounting program, award-winning business school, from our state-of-the-art Business Innovation Hub to the Terry W. Goodwin ‘67 Financial Technology Center, the M&T Bank Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the M&T Bank Center for Women in Business.

Our faculty shape the practice and science of business.
At Quinnipiac you will have faculty who are at the forefront of business science and practice. To name a few, Professor Iddrisu Awudu’s research informs policy around renewable energy; Professor Stephanie Miller’s accounting research helps consumers, nonprofits and firms better manage earnings and resource allocation; Professor Joe Gaspar's research on ethics informs business and ecconomic outcomes; Professor Nitish Patidar builds on his expertise an internal medicine doctor in research that advances excellence in healthcare delivery; and Professor Guido Lang’s work on the digital transformation of post-secondary education defines the future of learning.

Education at the speed of business
The School of Business offers 13 undergraduate majors, 10 undergraduate minors, two MBA programs and 3 specialized graduate programs, so you will easily find a program that suits your goals and interests. If you want more control over your program of study, consider our innovative BS in Applied Business, which maximizes your options for business classes.
All of our undergraduate majors are compatible with unique and accelerated dual-degree programs. Dual-degree programs not only provide you with a seamless path from an undergraduate degree to a graduate degree, they shorten your overall time of study. This means you will save on tuition, room and board, and you will start your career sooner.
Our MS in Accounting and MS in Business Analytics programs are offered on the Mount Carmel Campus. Both programs can be completed in 12 to 15 months of full-time study.
The School of Business also offers high-quality online programs for working professionals. Our innovative Bachelor of Business Administration provides an engaging, flexible and career-focused path to complete your bachelor's degree. Our online Professional MBA and MS in Organizational Leadership are springboards to career advancement and our online MS in Business Analytics provides specialized training for one of the most in-demand fields in business.
Our MBA program, available online or on campus, can be completed full-time or part-time in a schedule and modality that meets your needs.

We continue to invest in our facilities to ensure that your business education meets the ever-changing needs of the market. The Innovation Hub encourages interdisciplinary thought across our campuses and sparks exciting new ways to create 21st-century solutions, while our Centers and Institutes pair our students and faculty together to transform in-class academic theory into real-world solutions.
Experiential Learning Opportunities
The School of Business supports an active community of students with 17 student clubs and organizations, such as the $3 million dollar Student Managed Portfolio, the Microlending Initiative and the Entrepreneurship Club. In addition, our students take part in many business competitions and establish relationships with industry-leading professional associations.
A new home on the South Quad

Be among the first students to learn in the new School of Business
Designed as an expression of our values and ambition — and slated to open during the 2024-25 academic year — the new School of Business building expresses our commitment to environmental sustainability to achieve LEED certification and lifelong learning.
On the South Quad, students will have the opportunity to work in spaces that encourage an inclusive and interdisciplinary mindset. The new facilities contribute to advancement and success — with student lounges and study spaces, the Business Innovation Hub, the financial technology center, a digital sandbox and other state-of-the-art collaboration spaces.
Additional spaces for research, community gatherings and immersive learning foster an academic and social environment encouraging growth and evoking energy into the lives of our students. These spaces will be filled with student organizations and career development workshops and used to consult student teams, incubate new business ideas and empower other exciting learning opportunities. The new School of Business building is designed to be a true home for our community.

Quinnipiac accounting students offer free tax help through VITA Program
Students participating in the Quinnipiac University Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program help low-income residents in the Greater Hamden and New Haven areas with income-tax preparation and filing under the guidance of faculty members who are certified public accountants. Hundreds of local residents have benefitted from the program over the past decade.

In 2021, we were ranked the #45 online MBA, #29 master of science online graduate business program and #14 master of science online graduate business for veterans program.
