Aamer Sheikh
Professor of Accounting
Aamer Sheikh is Professor of Accounting at Quinnipiac University, where he has also served as Interim Department Chair twice. He has over 25 years of experience teaching at the university level in hybrid, online, and on ground formats, and has taught a variety of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Aamer has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers (including teaching cases) on a variety of accounting and finance topics, and his research, which spans the three categories (Applied, Basic, and Teaching & Learning) of AACSB International's scholarship, has been presented at more than 45 conferences. Aamer holds several professional certifications and licenses including an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. Prior to entering academe, he worked as an auditor with KPMG International, as well as in corporate accounting at a manufacturer of pulp and paper products.
