Clinical Professor of Diagnostic Imaging
Professor Alicia Giaimo began her career in medical imaging in 1996 and holds certifications in Radiography, Mammography and Bone Densitometry.? As a Clinical Professor in Diagnostic Imaging she provides instruction in the Radiologic Sciences bachelor’s program as well as the Women’s Imaging Track in the Advanced Medical Imaging and Leadership master’s program.? She is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the Connecticut Society of Radiologic Technologists (CSRT) and the Association of Edcuators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS).? Alicia has an exceptional understanding and passion for women’s imaging and what it takes to educate radiologic and imaging science professionals of the future.? She has participated in non-traditional imaging with mammography and radiography equipment, most notably resulting in a poster presentation at the World Mummy Congress.? She has also served as a technical reviewer on Mammography and Breast Imaging Prep books, presented at the AEIRS annual conference, CSRT Annual Conference and Regional Webinar series and facilitated and led webinars for MTMI.???
