Ashley Brandon is an Associate Professor of Film, Television, and Media Arts specializing in directing, editing, and genre and non-fiction filmmaking. Her work spans horror, documentary, comedy, and hybrid forms, and her films have screened at leading international festivals including Sundance, SXSW (Special Jury Award), Slamdance (Grand Jury Prize), Hot Docs, and Fantastic Fest. Her projects have been distributed by The Walt Disney Company and featured on Bloody Disgusting's Bloody Bites, with recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Her work has received support from ESPN, the Tribeca Film Institute, the Adrienne Shelly Foundation, Rooftop Films, the MacArthur Foundation, and Mountainfilm. She is frequently quoted in industry publications, including Variety, on trends in horror and gender representation in contemporary cinema.
