Ashley S Brandon
Assistant Professor of Film, Television, and Media Arts
Ashley Brandon is an Assistant Professor of Film, Television, and Media Arts in Quinnipiac's School of Communications. Before joining Quinnipiac in 2017, Ashley worked on productions throughout the Midwest as a cinematographer, editor, and director. Her works center on the themes of youth culture, small-town lore, and employ aspects of comedy, horror, and hybridity. Her directed works have been funded by the Tribeca Film Institute, MacArthur Foundation, and ESPN.
Ashley's films have been selected to premiere at Sundance, SXSW, Slamdance, HotDocs, institutions including Princeton University and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and have received nods of recognition from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Her most recent film, Dia de la Madre, premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and received a Special Jury Recognition at SXSW 2020.
She is a member of the filmmaking team Wolf + Me Films.
