Christopher D. Hodgdon

Chris Hodgdon is an associate professor of accounting at Quinnipiac University. Prior to joining the Quinnipiac faculty in the fall of 2011, Professor Hodgdon taught at the University of Vermont. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of Colorado, Boulder; an M.S. in accounting from The American University; and a Ph.D. in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the International Section of the American Accounting Association. Just prior to entering academe, Professor Hodgdon was a Tax Analyst for MCI Telecommunications Corporation in Washington D.C. He is a CPA, licensed in Virginia. Professor Hodgdon teaches managerial, financial, and governmental and not-for-profit accounting. He serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation and the Asian Review of Accounting. His research interests include financial and international accounting, with a focus on financial information in global capital markets. Professor Hodgdon’s research has been published in several journals, including The International Journal of Accounting; Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation; Advances in International Accounting; Research in Accounting Regulation; Issues in Accounting Education, and Accounting Education: An International Journal.
