Danielle Andree Gentin Stock

Assistant Professor of Law

Danielle Gentin Stock is an Assistant Professor at the Quinnipiac University School of Law where she teaches Torts, Civil Procedure, Alternate Dispute Resolution, and advanced issues in mass tort litigation. Gentin Stock's scholarly research focuses on the interplay of complex procedural issues and mass litigation, especially with respect to mechanisms for resolutions.
Gentin Stock joined the faculty after decades of experience litigating complex civil cases, with a focus on high stakes class actions, multidistrict litigation, and mass torts, as well as federal and state government investigations. She started her career as a law clerk for Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York, and then served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. At the Civil Division, Gentin Stock served as lead trial counsel, argued appeals at the Second Circuit, and was a member of the office's Health Care Fraud unit, which brings affirmative cases against companies that defrauded government health programs.
After eight years at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Ms. Gentin Stock held leadership positions in several in-house counsel roles and then became a litigation partner at a major international law firm. During her time in private practice, she not only litigated major cases but also developed novel approaches related to alternative dispute resolution processes, and routinely worked with mediators, special masters, and monitors, to benefit not only her own clients but also other parties and the courts.
Gentin Stock earned a J.D. from Yale Law School. She also holds an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge and a B.A. from Yale College.
